Fees

Concessionary

We aim to provide an accessible and affordable service to all members of the community and there are concessionary fees across all provision.

Additionally many targeted programmes have a low or waived fee. ALL learners are able to apply for funding from the Discretionary Learner Support fund – a fund to support learners with difficulties and disabilities or to remove a barrier to getting into work.

We offer 20% discount on tuition fees for those listed below:

  • Unemployed and in receipt of Universal Credit, income based Job Seekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance in the Work Related Activity Group. Proof of status is required at time of booking.
  • Individuals receiving state benefits not listed above will be considered for discretionary learner support, a fund in place from September 2018.
  • St Ivo school staff.
  • St Ivo school pupils. Discounts do not apply on courses just for young people.

Evidence will be required in order to claim these concessions and there is no reduction in any assessment fee. If the right to a concessionary fee changes during the course, then we shall reimburse learners on a pro rata/termly basis. Examination fees are fixed and cannot be reimbursed.

There is no age related concession for people aged over 60 on any of our courses. Likewise, 16-18 year olds admitted to a non qualification course (subject to any assessment body rules) will have to pay the full fee.

Trial Sessions

One week trial sessions (non obligatory) are welcomed, space permitting, and learners will need to let us know in advance if they intend to take advantage of this. However the only way to guarantee a place is by enrolling as we are unable to turn away paying learners whilst awaiting the decision of trialing learners.

Taster Sessions

There is a small fee to pay to attend taster sessions – this will be deducted from the full course fee if you decide to enrol on the full course. You are guaranteed a place on the course if you choose this route.

Time Credits

One place per academic year on any course (excludes progressive terms). Cost varies with course length. Any exam fees on accredited courses to be paid separately.
