We aim to provide an accessible and affordable service to all members of the community.
Courses targeted at the low waged or unemployed have a low fee to help learners increase their skills and progress in life and work. Evidence of eligibility is required.
ALL learners are able to apply for funding from the Discretionary Learner Support fund – a fund to support learners with difficulties and disabilities or to remove a barrier to getting into work.
One week trial sessions (non obligatory) are welcomed, space permitting, and learners will need to let us know in advance if they intend to take advantage of this. However the only way to guarantee a place is by enrolling as we are unable to turn away paying learners whilst awaiting the decision of trialling learners.
There is a small fee to pay to attend taster sessions – this will be deducted from the full course fee if you decide to enrol on the full course. You are guaranteed a place on the course if you choose this route.
Time credits can be used once per academic year, on a course up to a maximum of six hours. One time credit equals one hour’s tuition. Any materials included in the course fee must be paid separately.
Small Group Tuition
If too few learners enrol on a course, then in order to avoid the disappointment of cancellation it may be possible to run with a small group by adjusting the length of course or fee, subject to the agreement of all learners. This option would be discussed with participants at or following the first lesson.
