This course will provide you with the skills, information and knowledge you need to produce an effective and professional CV, and to perform to the best of your ability in an interview situation.
We will begin by learning how to create a CV incorporating your skills and experience, how to prepare effective and tailored CVs for different jobs and gain knowledge of the different CV resources which are available. We will then discover the different types of interview (one to one, phone, group, video/skype, panel, assessment, practical and informal), what to do and not do at interview, about competency/scenario based interview questions, how to structure examples at interviews using STAR, and how to think of and ask questions at interview.

Outcomes
You will have gained awareness of the resources available to create different types of CV, gained the skills, information and knowledge to help produce an effective and professional CV, learned about different types of interview, learned how to answer and ask questions effectively at interview.

Please bring a pen and paper for note-taking.

At the start of the course you will be given your own individual learning plan. Your tutor will record your entry level and together you will track your progress and achievements.
