This introductory course relates to body systems and the techniques and reflex points associated to them and will also be of benefit to all in that a skill will have been gained to help aches and pains in the major joints and spine for self-help and for friends and family.
Importantly there will be significant opportunities for extended learning within the course for any student that wishes to progress their career.
You will want to learn about this ancient therapy, how it can have an effect on our body systems and its benefits in improving our wellbeing. You will be be keen to share the learning experience with others as we practise the routine on each other, building the skills for reflexology.
Reflexology is a very ‘hands on’ course, much will be practice based. We will also incorporate group work, discussion, quizzes, ‘hand outs’ for completion and observation.
Confidence to progress to further study within the therapy sector.
You need to bring along two hand towels, some wet wipes and a small cushion. Paper and pen for note taking is optional.
Some homework is required. Practise of the routines and further reading/research is extremely useful in assisting your own learning and improving techniques.
At the start of the course you will be given your own individual learning plan. Your tutor will record your entry level and together you will track your progress and achievements.
Level 3 study if desired. We will support learners to make informed choices about their next steps by providing appropriate individual and/or group information, advice, and/or guidance tailored to need and desired outcomes.
