Cookery: Curry House Favourites NEW MENU
For all lovers of Indian food – learn to prepare popular ‘Curry House’ recipes at home. We will make well known curry house dishes, rices and Indian breads. Learn through practical experience and gain confidence with herbs and spices to achieve the subtle blend of exotic flavours.
For all those who enjoy visiting their local Indian restaurant and want to recreate those meals at home. No experience needed.
Through recipe sheets and demonstration, with practical experience.
Learners will understand the ingredients and methods needed to produce this style of food.
An ingredients list will be sent out before the first session and you can expect to spend around £10, including spices which you will use again in other menus. Basic equipment is provided in the school kitchens, but you may like to use your own for familiarity. You will need to bring a tea towel, washing up liquid, dish cloths and containers to transport your food home in.
You will need to shop for ingredients in advance. However, should the course not run due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be able to take responsibility for the cost of those ingredients.
At the start of the course you will be given your own individual learning plan. Your tutor will record your entry level and together you will track your progress and achievements.
We will support learners to make informed choices about their next steps by providing appropriate individual and/or group information, advice, and/or guidance tailored to need and desired outcomes. A wide range of evening cookery courses and Saturday workshops are offered at this centre - visit www.aclearning.org.uk to view the full list.
