The purpose of this 4-hour workshop is to know the “tool”. This course will give learners an insight of how watercolour paints were made historically and how they differ today. What ingredients are used to make watercolours and why some watercolour paints can produce desired effects while others can’t, for example why some colours granulate well, or some colours mix well, etc. You will learn the characteristics of each colour and understand the behaviour of pigments and be taught some painting techniques that will make the most of their individual properties. Some materials included.
