Course Cookery: Meringue Kisses with Simple Sugar Flowers NEW

We will make perfect meringue kisses in a variety of piping styles and decoration techniques to create gorgeously pretty meringues, so lovely that you’ll never buy shop bought meringues ever again! Bake a batch and store them in your freezer for an ever ready dessert or to add a wow factor to ice cream and Eton Mess. In addition we will make some sugar blossom flowers and leaves to decorate our meringues; perfectly elegant and delicious decorations on cakes or a tasty little treat with your coffee.

Required Skills No skills needed, suitable for beginners or those with some experience.
Teaching Method Tutor demonstration and hands-on practical experience.
Outcomes You will have made a variety of different meringue kisses and sugar flowers and have learned the skills to make them at home.
Materials required You will need the following equipment and ingredients: Eggs Caster Sugar Your choice of food colour for your meringues (paste not liquid please) Hand mixer with whisk attachment 2 piping bags A round nozzle, 2cm diameter A 2D nozzle Plunge flower cutters (3 blossom cutters set or daisy plunge cutters are good) Cocktail sticks Greaseproof paper Rolling pin Please note should the course not run due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be able to take responsibility for the cost of any materials purchased.
