Course Cookery: Breadmaking NEW

Baking wellbeing! Enjoy a therapeutic day of kneading out your frustrations and make three delicious bread dishes to take home and enjoy. You will be making bread rolls, Chelsea buns and soda bread.

Required Skills No experience needed, just enthusiasm!
Teaching Method This is a practical, hands-on course with demonstration and one-to-one guidance from your tutor.
Outcomes You will be able to produce a range of sweet and savoury doughs.
Materials required An ingredients list will be sent out for the day, and you can expect to spend a maximum of £15. Basic equipment is provided in the school kitchens, but you may like to use your own for familiarity. You will need to bring a tea towel, dish cloths and containers to transport your food home in, and a packed lunch. Free tea and coffee provided but we do ask learners to bring their own mug if possible in order to avoid waste.
Homework required Shopping for ingredients. You will need to shop for ingredients in advance. However, should the course not run due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be able to take responsibility for the cost of those ingredients.
Assessment At the start of the course you will be given your own individual learning plan. Your tutor will record your entry level and together you will track your progress and achievements. Your tutor will feedback on your progress during the day and learners will display and discuss their finished results at the end of the session.
Progression to We will support learners to make informed choices about their next steps by providing appropriate individual and/or group information, advice, and/or guidance tailored to need and desired outcomes.
