Course Cookery: Italian Trattoria Cookery
Description

Just like a traditional Italian Trattoria, our four week cookery course offers tasty food, a relaxed atmosphere and a warm welcome.You will learn to make recipes such as tomato upside down tart, gnocchi with rocket pesto, lemon and almond tart and home-made pasta.

Required Skills No specific skills or qualifications required.
Teaching Method Discussion and step-by-step demonstration. You will then prepare the dishes yourself with one-to-one help from your tutor as required. Recipe hand-outs will be provided.
Outcomes You will learn to make a variety of dishes which you can recreate in your own kitchen.
Materials required A list of ingredients and any materials needed will be sent out before the first session. Basic equipment is provided in the school kitchens, but you are welcome to use your own if you prefer. You will also need to bring a tea towel, washing up liquid, dish cloths, an apron and containers to take your food home.
Homework required You will need to shop for ingredients in advance. However, should the course not run due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be able to take responsibility for the cost of ingredients.
Assessment At the start of the course you will be given your own individual learning plan. Your tutor will record your entry level and together you will track your progress and achievements.
Progression to We will support learners to make informed choices about their next steps by providing appropriate individual and/or group information, advice, and/or guidance tailored to need and desired outcomes.
