History: Shopping through the Centuries NEW

Like it or loathe it, shopping is an important economic and social activity, central to who we are and how we relate to each other. But how did we get from swapping stone hand axes to online shopping? We will take you on a whistle-stop tour through the History of Shopping, from St Ives’ medieval markets to the present day. Your speaker will bring along artefacts from The Norris Museum for you to handle. Tea/coffee and biscuits included.
